But the greatest lessons she learned about giving came when she was on the receiving end of the equation\, battling a tumor around her brainstem. \n\n \n\nShe earned a Master?s degree in Organizational Communication from the University of Utah and a Bachelor's degree from BYU in Public Relations. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and nonprofit consultant. Her clients and business partners include the U.S. Department of Defense\, the Christopher Reeve Foundation\, the National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome\, Intermountain Health Care\, Weber Human Services\, and One Refugee.\n\n \n\nJodi's memoir\, The Sun Still Shines\, won multiple awards\, including the national Storymakers competition and the Gold Quill for nonfiction. She has since release two additional books\, Rise Above Depression and Imperfect Paul E. Peterson\, a story about a fourth grader who gets bullied. Jodi believes every person can help solve the issues facing society\, even those like depression and bullying.
