SUMMARY:Women in Business Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:Rise Above. That was then. This is now.\n\nPresented by Megan Leonardi\n\n\n\nWe encourage you to bring your daughters and friends\, your own Rising Star (ages 10-18) to our luncheon to discuss how we can change the environments we live in! Please register all guests who will be attending.\n\n~ $20 per guest ~\n\n \n\n"Twelve years ago\, at age fourteen\, I thought my world was going to end. Constant bullying in my 8th grade year had left me hollow\, suicidal and angry. Back then if you had told me that I would ever return to the school\, for any reason\, I would have laughed you out of the room. But things change\, I changed and this fall will be my third year as a teacher at the very same school. I will be reflecting on what I've learned over the past twelve years regarding mean girls\, female friendship and compassion. Bullying hurts but it doesn't have to define who we are."\n\n-Megan Leonardi\n\n\n\nAbout Megan:\n\nMegan is a middle school English teacher who insists that bigfoot is real\, books are life and writing is a window to the soul. She loves long walks with her dog\, a good book and a cup of tea on any occasion. She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Utah and a Masters of English from Weber State University.
