DESCRIPTION:The Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce is following state and federal recommendations to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. At this time\, we are limiting in-person meetings hosted by the Chamber. Therefore\, [EVENT] on [DATE] has been cancelled. \n\n \n\nWhile we wish to avoid the spread of illness\, we plan to continue providing valuable benefits to our members! Meetings and events that can take place virtually\, will be. Please look for specific communication about the format\, dates and times.\n\n \n\nWe apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience during this time. Please contact the Chamber with any questions or concerns at 801-621-8300 or chamber@ogdenweberchamber.com\n\n \n\nMarch is Women's History Month and we are so excited to have Dr. Jackie Thompson present at our luncheon this month. \n\nDr. Thompson received numerous awards and national recognition. On November 12\, 2012\, Governor Gary Herbert appointed Dr. Thompson to the State Multicultural Commission. She was the recipient of the 2013\, Human Rights Award from the Utah School Counselors. Dr. Thompson was the recipient of the 2015 Friend of 4-H Award   Utah State University Extension Program. The ISU Alumni Association and Idaho State University recognized Dr. Thompson with the Professional Achievement Award at Commencement 2015. In January 2017\, she was the recipient of the University of Utah's Black Student Union's Annual Legacy Award. Dr. Thompson was the recipient of the 2017 Humanitarian Award from the Inclusion Center in SLC\, Utah. Dr. Thompson is also a member of Weber School District - Equity\, Justice and Inclusion Committee   Advisory Council. She was honored with the 2018 Utah Education Association\, Charles E. Bennett - UEA Human and Civil Rights Award. Dr. Thompson was the recipient of the 2018 Salt Lake City NAACP Albert Fritz Civil Rights Award.
